In Saga Frontier 2, the sequel to the popular SaGa Frontier RPG, players will be immersed in a world full of intrigue, drama, and unexpected twists of fate. The gameplay is divided into two separate scenarios, each of which tells the story of a different character, gradually revealing to the player the grandiose canvas of events that shape the universe.

The first scenario is dedicated to Gustav XIII, the rightful heir to the throne, unjustly banished from his native palace. You will have to help him overcome all the challenges on his way to regain his lost throne and win the respect of his subjects. Gustav must not only prove his right to the crown, but also understand the intricacies of court intrigue that led to his exile.

The second screenplay tells the story of William Knights, a young man whose life has been shattered by the brutal murder of his parents. Driven by a thirst for justice and a desire to unravel the mystery of their deaths, William embarks on a journey that will bring him face to face with dark forces and force him to rethink everything he knew about himself and his place in the world. You will have to help William unravel a tangle of mysteries that leads to a shocking denouement that will change his destiny forever.

Both stories are skillfully intertwined, complementing and enriching each other, allowing the player to look at the events from different perspectives and make a complete picture of what is happening. Saga Frontier 2 departs from the non-linear approach of its predecessor, offering a more straightforward narrative based on key events.

As for the gameplay mechanics, it is true to the series’ traditions – improving characteristics and learning new abilities takes place directly in battle, without the usual system of experience points and levels. Each battle becomes an opportunity for character growth and development, forcing the player to think carefully about tactics and use all available resources.

For this remaster, the game’s impressionist watercolor graphics have been upgraded to a higher resolution, giving them a greater sense of warmth and delicacy. With a completely rebuilt UI and a number of new features, the gameplay experience is smoother than ever.

• Gameplay Improvements – With the addition of things like high-speed functionality and a New Game+ mode that allows you to carry over your completion data, changes have been made to create a more comfortable gameplay experience.
